The project is to consist of the renovation of the existing 2,904 square foot former Union County Public Library building. The existing exterior wall will be modified for a new exterior door. New interior construction will include metal stud walls, new lay-in and gypsum board ceilings; The interior floor slab will be modified new floor boxes and to accommodate the steel structure for a new accordion partition and paired panel partition. New plumbing and lighting fixtures throughout. The project also includes a new exterior handicap ramp, sidewalks and parking lot modifications.

The bidding for this project is classified as a formal public bid and is open to all general contractors.
BID BOND: 5% of bid required of each contractor.
PERFORMANCE BOND: General Contractor to include Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of Contract Amount in the base bid. All bidders are hereby notified that they shall be properly qualified under the state laws governing their respective trades. Contractors must be licensed for work in the state of the project’s jurisdiction. (Note Performance Bond may be waived by the owner after bids are taken)
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
