Public Projects

The project consists of new construction to include, without limitation, site preparation and improvements, utility services to and throughout, concrete foundations and pad, and erection thereon of a steel framed structure with light gage roof trusses. The exterior is comprised of insulated metal wall panels, insulated glazing units, and standing seam metal roof panels. The project includes construction of the interior, upfit, and finishing of the building to produce the Laurinburg-Maxton Airport Terminal Building as shown and defined in the Contract Documents.

The project consists of the historically sensitive repair of the exterior and the interior of the Old Princeton Graded School (approximately 6,900 SF). New accessible toilet rooms will be constructed in the area of existing toilet rooms and an accessible ramp will be constructed to provide access to the building and the new toilet rooms. The existing breezeway to the south will be enclosed to accommodate the accessible ramp. Existing plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be repaired and/or replaced.

Repairs to existing two-story historic building, to include new elastomeric roof coating on existing metal roof and new concrete handicap ramp. Exterior repairs include painting the building exterior, windows and trim. Interior repairs include painting walls, ceilings and plaster repair work. Electrical work includes replacement of existing lighting, switches and outlets with new exit and emergency lighting.

The Project consists of constructing approximately 8,000 linear feet of 2-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water mains, related appurtenances, and water service transfers.

Erection of a 90’ by 100’ hangar building to include site grading, drainage modifications, foundation installation, electrical and mechanical installation and paving of the airside ramp.

This project consists of a mill-and-fill rehabilitation of Runway 9-27 (3,500’ x 75’) with a non-strengthening FAA specification P-403 bituminous asphalt overlay. The scope of the project includes the following: • ½-inch nominal bituminous pavement milling • Fill and repair encountered pavement cracks with an engineer approved non-shrink grout-type crack filler material • FAA specification P-403 scratch course paving to fill in low spots and assure consistent transverse grade throughout the length of the runway • FAA specification P-403, 3-inch nominal overlay placed in two 1-1/2-inch lifts • Runway shoulder restoration grading, seeding and mulching as required • Application of initial and final visual runway pavement markings • Install one each, L-858R, size 1, style 4, unlighted airfield guidance sign

The Project consists of the replacement of equipment and piping necessary for approximately 6,850 ft of existing water main, and all other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.

The Charleston County Aviation Authority seeks qualified professionals to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work for rehabilitation of Runway 17-35, Taxiway A, and Taxiway B asphalt pavements. The Work will include variable depth milling 2.5” asphalt overlay, and new pavement markings for the runway and taxiway pavement areas.

The Project contains several construction items, but are not limited to: • Replacement of Runway Edge and Taxiway Edge lighting with new lights and associated materials. • Replacement of Runway and Taxiway Signs with new signage and associated materials. • Replacement of REIL systems at each runway end. • Replacement of all homerun conductors and update of circuit routing through duct bank. • Construct new Airfield Lighting Vault to remove airfield equipment from Terminal Building. • Update Airfield Lighting Vault Constant Current Regulators (CCR)

The Clinton-Sampson County Airport (CTZ) is progressing with the construction of the Runway 6-24 Rehabilitation project. The overall intent of this project is to remove the distressed upper surface coarse and replace with new asphalt pavement. The project will consist of pavement removal, repaving, minor shoulder grading, pavement marking, seeding and mulching.
