Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid for the completed work.
Both a Performance Bond and a labor and materials Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid for the completed work, will be required of the successful bidder concurrent with execution of the contract.
For work consisting of $30,000 or more, the Bidder must be qualified under the provisions of the most current South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law Code. The Contractor's license number must appear on the front of the envelope containing his bid.
No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
The Town of Lincolnville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid, and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bid.
Any questions concerning plans and specifications should be brought to the Town of Lincolnville's attention immediately. In order not to provide an unfair advantage to a particular Bidder, all questions must be brought to the Town of Lincolnville's attention at least seven days prior to the bid date. Questions received after this date cannot be considered. All responses to questions will be presented in the form of a written addendum.
