The project consists of the historically sensitive repair of the exterior and the interior of the Old Princeton Graded School (approximately 6,900 SF). New accessible toilet rooms will be constructed in the area of existing toilet rooms and an accessible ramp will be constructed to provide access to the building and the new toilet rooms. The existing breezeway to the south will be enclosed to accommodate the accessible ramp. Existing plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be repaired and/or replaced.

A hard copy of the documents will be available to view at Princeton Town Hall, 503 Doctor Donnie H. Jones, Jr. Blvd. W, Princeton, NC 27569.

On Tuesday, April 8 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM the building will be unlocked for contractors to access the site. The architect will be present for this walk thru. Questions are to be emailed no later than 5:00pm on Friday April 11, 2025 to laurie@maurerarchitecture.com. Responses to questions will be issued as an addendum to all registered bidders via email by 5:00pm on Tuesday April 15, 2025.

On Tuesday, April 22 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM the building will be unlocked for contractors to access the site. The architect will be present for this walk thru. Bid packages are to be delivered to Smithfield Town Hall, 350 E Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577 no later than 10:15 AM on Friday May 02, 2025.
