The work will consist of constructing a new water transmission main and new sanitary sewer force main for the Town of Mooresville (Owner). Area 1 consists of approximately 1.5 miles of 16-inch water main. The proposed water main will run along Mazeppa Road, generally paralleling an existing 12-inch water main, approximately 1.5 miles from the intersection with Highway 115 to the intersection with Penske Way. Area 2 includes the abandonment of an existing 12-inch force main and re-routing its discharge location. The replacement will re-route the force main to a newly constructed (by others) gravity outfall with a new tie in manhole. The re-routed force main will be increased in size from the existing 12-inch to 16-inches.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.
Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Town of Mooresville Public Operations Building at 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, North Carolina 28117 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
The Issuing Office for Bidding Document is Duncan Parnell (https://bidroom.duncan-parnell.com). Documents may be obtained for a purchase price as listed on their website. All payments are to be made to Duncan Parnell. Prospective Bidders must purchase Bidding Documents directly through Duncan Parnell in order to be considered an official plan holder. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10 AM local time on May 21, 2025, at the Town of Mooresville Public Operations Building, 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, North Carolina 28117. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
