High Point, NC - Ward WTP Filters Rehabilitation Project, Bid 19-050725

The Frank L. Ward Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Filter Rehabilitation Project involves a comprehensive overhaul of Filter Nos. 1-4, including the replacement of underdrain systems, valves, and actuators. The project encompasses the demolition of existing filter components, installation of new underdrain systems with air scour piping, and upgrades to valves and actuators in the piping gallery and transfer pump room. Additional improvements include new turbidity sensors and controllers for Filter Nos. 1-8, differential pressure transmitters, water level sensors, and a bubbler system for Filter Nos. 1-4. The project also features the replacement of the backwash water supply line's venturi flow meter with a ball valve and magnetic flow meter, surface preparation and painting of piping and valves, lighting and electrical enhancements in the pipe gallery, and the replacement of the concrete walkway between the two filter buildings.
