This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and administered by the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission (GMRC). Bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the Bidding Documents. Bidders must provide a 5% bid bond. Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority firms, women’s business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms when possible.

Domestic Preference

This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Acts (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58 §§ 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States.

Prevailing Labor Standards

This project is subject to the Copeland Act (40 U.S.C. §276c and 18 U.S.C. §874), and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. §§327-333) regarding labor standards for federally-assisted construction sub-agreements.

Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small, minority, and women owned businesses and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local, laws and ordinances.
